Most design projects don't begin with clarity.

They begin with scattered ideas, incomplete requirements, conflicting opinions, and a lot of unanswered questions.

Over time, I've built a process that helps me move from uncertainty to confidence. AI has become a valuable part of that process—not because it makes decisions for me, but because it helps me think faster, explore more possibilities, and communicate ideas better.

Here's how I use it throughout my design workflow.

Every project starts with one goal: creating clarity.

Whether I'm working from PRDs, meeting notes, stakeholder feedback, or research findings, I use ChatGPT to break down information, identify gaps, and uncover questions that need answers.

Once I have enough context, NotebookLM helps me organize everything into a structured knowledge base. It becomes a place where I can connect insights, revisit decisions, and quickly understand the bigger picture without digging through endless documents.

This phase isn't about designing yet—it's about building confidence that I'm solving the right problem.

✦ Exploring Before Committing

Figma Make

Once the problem is clear, I start exploring possible solutions.

Figma Make helps me rapidly translate ideas into wireframes, flows, and early concepts. Instead of spending hours creating low-fidelity screens from scratch, I can focus on evaluating different directions and refining the experience.

The biggest advantage isn't speed—it's flexibility.

When generating wireframes becomes easier, I'm more willing to explore multiple approaches before committing to one.

✦ Creating Visual Assets & Storytelling

Gemini · Magnific

Not every project has the luxury of custom photography, illustrations, or production-ready assets.

For concept work, presentations, landing pages, and visual explorations, I use Gemini to generate creative directions and imagery. Once I have a promising output, Magnific helps refine, enhance, and upscale those assets into something much closer to production quality.

This workflow allows me to communicate ideas visually much earlier in the design process and create richer prototypes without waiting for final assets.

✦ Refining, Iterating & Shipping

This is where most of the heavy lifting happens.

I use Figma Agents to iterate on layouts, explore variations, improve structure, and accelerate repetitive design tasks. It helps me move through multiple design directions quickly while staying focused on product decisions.

Alongside that, Claude acts as a design thinking partner. I use it to challenge assumptions, evaluate flows, suggest alternative approaches, and bring established design principles into the conversation.

I use Figma Motion to create polished micro-interactions and animations that make interfaces feel intuitive and alive. It helps communicate transitions, reinforce user actions, and prototype realistic product experiences before development.

For highly urgent projects, the workflow sometimes skips traditional handoffs altogether. Using Claude Code, I can help move ideas directly toward implementation, dramatically reducing the distance between concept and shipped product.

The result is a workflow where design, iteration, and execution happen much closer together than ever before.

The biggest benefit isn't productivity.

It's momentum.

I spend less time getting stuck at the beginning of a problem and more time refining solutions. I can explore more directions, validate ideas sooner, and communicate design decisions with greater clarity.
